I understand, and as you say, it is something to think about.
As for the rest, wear what you're comfortable in, and 'show it.' :)
Certainly not only the Europeans would agree with me. Take that cheeky motorbike driver in Viet Nam. In Viet Nam i felt humungous amongst all those petite little ladies. I'm on the back of this bike when the driver suddenly reaches behind him and pats me lightly on the closest thing he could reach. Which happened to be my knee. Pat pat pat. "Good" says he, " you have weight." Pat pat pat.I felt like a child being patted on the head for being good, haha.
Sorry, I've no idea what a rashie or a tankini is but i assume it's beachwear. I'm not a water person so there's no point in my buying things for the occasion. If i go into the sea i'm usually wearing a sarong, or a t-shirt and shorts.
