Like bali bec i got Dengue on the 2nd Jan at kumala pantai and woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. Every part of my body hurt, even my eyes, and after 2 days, feeling even worse, went to hospital. Sent back to hotel as blood count was still too high to be on a drip, had to suffer thru alone for the next 7 days. husband and sons didn't know how to help me, very frightening. Felt like i was dying, but poor bec was even worse than me, hard to imagine. Met her on the day she went home, can sympathise with the fear. Went home on 10th day but still having headaches even now. if i get it again as another strain am told it can be worse, causing heamorrhaging. Will go back but will always wear mozzie repellant with high DEET. Everyone I met with it had been hospitalised. think my blood count stayed high enough due to taking Olive leaf extract for a month before going to Bali, and took some with me. Its anti viral and anti parasitic - highly recommend it, as well as high vitamin B intake. Hope you're better now Bec, as a Naturopath I recommend that you also take Astraforte now you are home - build your immunity back up. Gentle yoga will really help too. Good luck and God bless.
