My hubbie and I went to Phuket April 07 with our kids and both ended up with Dengue. He got it the last day and I got it on our return. We have never been so sick in all our lives. Mind you it didn't turn us off Phuket = we had a great time and would go back tomorrow. Thank God the kids didn't get it. I am travelling to Bali in 14 weeks time and will be very prepared for Dengue this time. We were told it is a day-time mosquito - which we never where spray in the days - only usually from Happy Hour onwards. It took us about 3 months to fully recover and then still we had "sleepy" days for a while after that. Hope you are on the mend - take it easy - it takes a while. thanks for the warning - mosquitos don't discriminate - they love everyone!!
