4 nights in Sanur - very relaxing - gets us into Bali gently
then 6 nights in Ubud - our fav place - great food, hotels and spas
then the last 4 nights in Kuta/Legian for a bit of excitement - sun, surf, shopping and more good food.
Found that this combo is a perfect balance for us and the holiday seems to go on forever. As you know it is really quick and easy to get to the next destination so that is not an issue. we pack light and leave all the shopping til the end so packing up and moving is not an issue
We have been once in October and I know every year can be different, but it is the end of the dry season and it was very dry - not so many lush paddy fields and even a bit dusty if you can believe it!
Probably our least fav season for scenery but great for swimming etc.
