My one and only beach massage (outside Bali Garden in the year 2000) was from a woman whom I accidentally saw picking her nose, getting something somewhat long and slimy out and then continued to massage me. Surprise, surprise I had a serious infection from a clogged pore and needed an operation to clean the puss out. The operation was followed by a long healing period. Cleanliness does not seem to be a priority with some of these women, be it hairdoes or massages. I do not think the situation has improved over the years. Yuk!
