It was amazing to be in Bali without the constant traffic sounds. Even the roosters were quiet. If you don't have a DVD then hire one, spend the day relaxing watching movies, reading, lazing by the pool.
You must not leave your villa, lights must be kept to a minimum, so ensure you have candles & close the curtains at night. You will have to organise your own food for the day, unless your villa has a cook & can stay overnight there.
We were in Candi Dasa for Nyepi - an expat's house was all lit up on the night & the locals were very upset - said it would bring them bad luck.
Be sure not to miss the Ogah-Ogah parade the night before - one of the most incredible sights you'll ever see.
