No I dont think your luggage allowance for that flight would drop,the airline would have to use more fuel for the plane and if that wasntpossible they would send some luggage on a later flight as has happened lots of times with garuda to perth,BUT,i do believe that in years to come a flight may consist of a total weight i.e. body weight plus luggage with extra charges over and above x amount of total weight per person instead of the airlines working on a figure of estimated average weight per person.
