Ok - so everytime i buy somrthing in Bali i always ask them what the bags mean and they just laugh and say 'they don't mean anything!'.
So accross the road from our hotel when we were there over Xmas we asked some of the guys what they mean. Now we had spent quite a bit of money with them on bags and boardies and we wanted an honest answer:
Black Bag - Hard Bargainer
Black & White Stripe - Good for you and good for them - Fair price
White Back - You got ripped off
This way when you are walking down the street the other sellers know what type of bargainer you are.
Clever really on their part and now i look back on it i have received the odd White back but hey, who cares as long as i am happy with what i paid for it!
