I have just returned with machine embroidery thread, if that is what you are looking for, go to toko central and at the back of the store is a wall of thread, all colours and shades, I regularly bring them back but watch they weigh heavy so carry on in hand luggage, dirt cheap at about A$1.10 for a large cone I would say about 2000 M. your mum will love you if you get some.
