We flew AirAsia from Cgatta on 29th Dec and due to fly them retiurnon 19th Jan. Flight over was all good even landed 40mins early.We opted to do the overnight in KL and stayed cheaply and close to LCC Terminal to reconnect with 10am flight next day.We took airport train into city and did a bit of a cruise around then went to the Traders Hotel Sky Bar for a sunset drink. Veiws over to Petronas twin Towers amazing.
Connectly smoothly next day and then arrived in Bali 20mins early.So far so good for Airasia still to do return. We booked on the internet and you can prebook seat allocation,meals,comfort pack etc.Otherwise can purchase on flight/ being a lowcost carrier you have up to 15kgs of luggage allowance and then you pay in proportion for any extra you may want.This is done also when you book ticket online. And yes they will charge excess as we witnessed. We didnt purchase extra going over but did for way back.
I suggest check them out as we saved about $500 per ticket for this time of year. yes we did have an extra $50 for accom in KL but that was our choice to do so.
At this point you cant book straight through you have to book Cgatta-KL and then KL-Bali. Note the connections are close so up to each if they want to cut it fine.We would havbe been ok as we also landed early in Kl giving more time. The two terminals are side by side so no rushing between. Hope this helps.Toni
