I had seen my dancing frog statues in Ubud last August, but couldn't agree on a price, so stupid here thought I would see them some where else, well of course I didn't and spent the rest of our holiday looking for them. I ending up seeing them in Sydney for 3 x the price and hubby got them for me for Christmas, I love them, and even though I bought them at home, I still remember the old guy in Ubud who was selling them, when ever I look at them.

Hubby also got me a statue of a cat standing upright, comes up to my hip and it's holding a bowl that I fill with water and fresh flowers, I have planted hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of tropical, lush looking plants, and we are getting a swimming pool later this year, thinking of Alam Jiwa while I design it.

My yard and house are an eclectic mix of all the countries we have visited, and typical Aussie beach culture, it's looking fantastic!

But I am amazed that all this has the opposite effect I expected, I do love my life at home, I love my family, my job, my house and I love Australia, I thought once I had that beautiful garden and lush ambiance that I wouldn't crave travel so badly, but now every where I look is a reminder of that thick heady air that I can't recreate in Sydney, I want to go back to Bali !!!!
I think this forum is bad for me, I keep coming back here to get a fix!!!
