I think you will be happy with Jayakarta. The pools are good, beach out front and shops, restuarants and money changers just outside gates. Its about 3 star but clean and lovely grounds. haven't stayed at tanjung benoa but I agree it may mean a little more travelling for shopping etc. I too plan to split my accommodation this year. Am doing Sanur & Ubud as I like to experience different areas. All personal choice really.
