Last week I had my first ever tattoo done by Boudhi at Buddy Marley in the lane next to the All Seasons Hotel in Legian. Im a 42yo female and had a chinese symbol put on my shoulder. I checked out quite a few tattoo studios in Kuta/Legian before settling on BM. He auto-claves his instruments, wears gloves, has an assistant and even sells the Bepanthen cream to put on afterwards. He is so popular that I had to wait a few days to get in. He is gentle and patient and yes, it hurts a bit but it depends on your pain threshold I think. My tattoo cost me 500,000RP which is around $40AUD and took him 20 minutes to do. Try to get it done on your second last or last day as you can't swim for a few days afterward.
