Have stayed at Besakih all 4 times I have visited Bali, it is a lovely friendly hotel. Not too big, just right and the pool on the beach is fantastic, you lean over the edge of the pool and you are almost on the sand. Some of the cottages have been renovated but I believe the actual rooms in the 2 storey hotel building are a bit bigger but all are the same price, unless of course you want one of the walled Suite rooms.
I emailed the hotel and was given a price of $70AUD per night including breakfast but in the end was given a price of $65AUD, both this year and in 2006! Ended up booking with Qantas Holidays as they have a stay 7 and pay 5 deal so 7.5 nights (late checkout) cost us $418AUD but booking direct with the hotel would have cost $455AUD. Booking with the hotel works out cheaper if you only stay 5 nights. So shop around. Enjoy Sanur, it is great. Karen
