Funny that you mentioned the firm bed as now I recall that was our only negative as well. A massage on the beach seemed to do the trick. We slept sort of ok but, yes they could be less firm. While we were there in November it was 50 - 60% occupancy (mainly Dutch, French and German tourists), Aussies are starting to go back according to the staff with overall occupancy at about 40% at the start of 2007, so they were pleased that things were on the up and up, street vendors in Sanur were also quite optimistic for 2008. Manager was a guy called Rudi, a nice chap. All the staff were so cool and put up with my aussie - bali lingo. "salamat bagi mate" LOL.
