This forum is always a full on advertisement for the GVC - no bad can ever be said about it. I personally reckon it's the pits and agree with comments of staff care factor

I am sure it must have been the Travel Agents fault. Some Agents go out of their way to put water in hotel ceilings and then instruct the staff to be indifferent to the guests. In fact they pay the staff more to ensure that the ceiling is constantly full of water.
Adds more fun. And what are they doing in their rooms wanting lights anyway?
Shouldn't they be out in the Bar spending money?
So please make sure water is in ceiling, flicker lights on and off (Maybe also make an electrical noise for added effect.
At least your post made it sound that you enjoyed the trip apart from GVC - hope that's the case and a bad hotel experience doesn't darken you thoughts and memories of our favourite holiday destination
