travellers cheques are easy to cash and many commision free around the major towns,kuta legian,etc.they are fully insured and unlike cash they can not be used if stolen.american express offer 24hr replacement the world over if stolen or lost.i take about 3000 dollars worth eveytime i go to bali and the commision to america express is only about 50dollars,so that is what i reccomend
