Shaz we have stopped in 5* and have been to GVC many times. I would not rubbish GVC as it has many pluses, but we found it was getting a bit run down and some the inmates were a bit hard to take. We are love a beer and participate in most functions, but some Aussies are over the top. We are puzzled at negative comments about MBR, as so far we have stopped there twice and could not find any faults with it. When you go must have something to do with what happens. Probably school holidays brings on the BB gun time and a lot of the other little things that can affect your enjoyment, but most other hotels would have the same problem. Hope you enjoy MBR as much as we do.
