Hi and thanks for the feedback. The Ema restaurant is upstairs in the DFS (or Duty Free Centre). I am not sure of the roads etc but it is on the giant roundabout with the huge white statue of a mythical figure and horses or serpents. If you do a search for "DFS" on this site you should be able to get a thread that discusses the DFS centre and its precise street address (or perhaps one of the other members can provide this). It is a 25,000rp taxi ride from downtown Legian and the drivers (on Jalan Legian) knew where to go when we said Ema and DFS. The food is brilliant, service great and the setting immense and very red/gold/black decor. We are huge eaters and and an enormous meal (July 07) from trolleys with drinks for kids and adults cost us around A$12 a head.
We are back in Bali for 3 weeks at the end of June(including 4 days at Sanur) so will probably not be able to provide you with a review prior to your visit. On the basis of the helpful info we have received, we will definitely give it a go and add a follow up to this thread with our comments.
Thanks again
