as mentioned on some news comments in regard to the recent Qantas power loss on decent into Bangkok. - there has been no real professeional level of customer service in Australia since deregulation. Our two Airline Policy Ansett/Qantas did provide competition which was "service to the customer " based I believe.
Not much was focused on fare price.
The air travel industry has completely changed - with low cost fares - airlines and now the ability for Mr Mrs Average to afford to fly we must accept all the no frills, delays,....."customer service" what was that ? These low costcarriers provide sardine seats - something we used to laugh about years ago that airlines in Asia used to operate.
We have paid a huge price here in Darwin.
I think there is amarket now for an airline that actually delivers in service reasonable no frills and decent hours in its schedule. More important on time %. Many would pay the extra Vs a tin pot budget rookie.
