I'm not sure I should call this a JBR as we actually got back last Aug but I have been lurking eversince and only just re-registered? We stayed for our 9th stay at the Sanur Paradise Plaza, our second home.. it was a perfect 2 weeks once again. We had friends staying for the first week at the Kartika in Kuta so made daily visits there. Made some new friends at OURS bar in Garlic lane, many laughs with the girls, we had a sing song during the power cuts and watched the rats running around... also great nights at Legend bar with lots of dancing, I think they were glad when we went home though as they had many LATE nights we were usually the last to leave and they would stay until we were ready to go, no hassling us to leave... also many late nights at the Kartika, we were a bit noisy sitting outside our friends room so took to sitting in the foyer with our drinks, rarely left before 1am. we went white water rafting which was great ONCE, we had a great day but the steps at the end almost killed me.. we were in the front table at the Sanur festival and ended up on Bali TV yeh fame at last! our friends left after 1 week then we spent the rest of the time relaxing in Sanur. Our good friends Ayu and her hubby Nyoman borrowed a car and took us out for the day on their day off, we went to Candi D and then to Tannah Lot before ending up at their home, it was a magical day and we felt very honoured to visit their home. We are creatures of habit and ate at the usual places, Arena, Laser Zoo, Bonsai and Cat and Fiddle oh and cant forget the best Nasi Goreng at Billy's where hubby went in the kitchen to learn how they make it, very kind of them. we are going back again in July but I'm not sure I can wait that long so may squeeze in an extra week before then too. Keep reading the forum and seems like a lot of bad weather at the moment so will wait for the good weather reports to start and then off I go>>>>>>>> only slight negative was Garuda and their flight changes and cancellations although they paid for us an extra nights accommodation as the flight home was delayed until 1.30am ....
