During the ceremonies the cock fights on Lembongan run for days. They are extrememly popular with both the locals and the tourists. Stalls set up to sell food and drinks and its a great atmosphere. The tourists put their bets on even though sometimes they don't know which cock they have bet on and are suprised when they win. Never seen any tempers flared at them. This November they went for about 5 days and the actual fight is over pretty quickly, you just need to be careful if one of the cocks runs away and jumps the fence with the blades on as this can be quite dangerous.
