The people that stay at the Dynasty love the social atmosphere, the wonderful staff, the kids club(which looks to be one of the best) and the kiddy suites. Other people like something a bit quieter, like the Jayakarta, Padma, or the old Bali Hai. What you need to decide is what sort of person are you and what are you looking for? I have used kids clubs at Bali Hai, Jayakarta and Dynasty and have found the staff to be wonderful and caring, but I have 2 children that have been taught to look out for each other and to be able to say no loudly if they are uncomfortable. We also do not use them a great deal. Others would say (and maybe rightly so) that it is not worth the risk. Personally we stayed at Jayakarta last year and have booked again this year. Although the rooms can be a little tired, the pools are great (they have a kiddies pool), there are other families without it being crowded (unless it's school hols) and the location - right on the beach in Legian - is wonderful. Much quieter than where the dynasty is.
If you can wait until the Bali Hai opens again, we absolutely loved it and the kids club there was pretty good. The hotel went right onto the beach with no road to cross, which enabled us to sit on the grass and watch the kids playing there, and it has a spa attached to it with private outdoor massage facilities. It's in Tuban, a little further out so you will probably have to catch a cab everywhere, but it's so cheap it doesn't matter.
