What is a good idea is to go to bali and just book into a hotel for a couple of days, arrange with your contacts you have made to look at the villas first, also go to estate agents and get them to take you to a few as well. a good idea is to pick a cuople and go their at different times of the day and night to see what the noise level is at, some time you may be woken uo by a roster at 4am or parting tourist.
Also check that everything works, looks can be deceiving
