We have taken our laptop with us the last 2 trips to Bali. We use it to watch DVD's and download photos from the camera when the cards get to full. We have just left it in the hotel room on the desk. The only things that we put in the room safe is our passports, travel documents and extra money. Up till now we have never had anything taken, which I think would be the case with the majority of vistors to Bali.
