I have had surgery on my ears and they still hurt sometimes...going to bali was fine, coming back the plane descended quickly and i was in tears no matter what i did.
ENT Specialist told me to have zyrtec 4 days before flying....also a cortisone nasal spray.
I also inhaled Euc oil until I bought the little 10 gram tubs of green balm in bali which of course wont spill.
I also have the plastic cups with hot towells inside and held against my ears as well as chewing airways Euc gum.
So these things help but don't always aleviate.
