My father in law committed suicide 10 days before we were due to travel to Bali in 2006. After much deliberation we decided to go ahead with our trip. The funeral was only 2 days before we left. We decided that there was nothing that we could do at home and he would have wanted us to go. Last September we were there for the one year aniversay and we had one of the girls on the beach make us a couple of the offering baskets and we floated them out to sea at sunset. It was very moving and the beach sellers were all very good and left us alone when the found out what we were doing.
Go to Bali it will help you to heal away from daily problems at home. And I am sure that your brother would not have wanted you to cancel your holiday. Do not feel guilty for continuing with your lives.
