The "copies"(quality reflects price) surf clothes are under the counter as the sellers risk fines in the millions if caught selling, some years back it started when top reps of a lge surf company went around the clothes market areas with authorities and all stock was seized and burned in the street, the next week things were back to normal but then a few serious fines put everything under the counter and it has stayed that way. The surf shops sell product under license and it is far superior in quality, the Billabong factory outlet in Jl By Pass Kuta was recently selling clothing at 75% off. I would suggest going with the factory outlets or surf shops for quality and they have materials not seen in Aussie, somewhere is always having a sale and if not it is still cheaper.
