We were there in June staying at Taman Sari and saw their new hotel. The accommodation looked very good, as did the pool, restaurant (similar menu to Taman Sari) and location. Look up http://sariamertha.com/index.html
The only downside for me was the grounds are not yet fully developed, with large areas of open lawn, but given time, I'm sure it will improve as trees etc grow. There are trees along the beach side with tables etc under them.
I would probably stay at Taman Sari, but keep an eye on Amertha for future trips, hope this helps.
