Just asking, because I'm going to Bali tomorrow and will go when over there to the Bali safari park where you can ride an elephant for about 100,000 Rupiah (13-14 AUD).
If you want to, you can email me and within a couple of weeks when I come back I can tell you. It costs $25 US each to get in an includes 2 safari rides, picture with animal and unlimited little kid rides/water park. Dont know what it is like but is probably much cheaper than going to Taro park near Ubud.
I suggest you may want to hire a driver for the day if you do it this way. I think Taro park has packages.
