We travel over to Bali twice a year for business and as much as i would love to take the laptop, i am just not willing to risk it - i know i would be paranoid about it 24/7.
So i ended up buying a I-Mate PDA for under $400, has wireless capabilites/inc Skype/MSN/GPS etc etc - its my new travelling companion!!!!
There is so many internet places you wont be struggling to find one near you at any given time.
