So many people ask this silly silly silly question....
People wouldn't travel to places they feel unsafe, ie. not a huge tourism market in Iraq or Afghasistan.
That said - the people in Bali 12/10/02 were feeling safe until 11pm & the people in Bali in Oct 05 eating dinner on Jimbaran Bay and in Kuta were feeling safe.
Your life. Your choice. You don't feel unsafe on the streets - but you may feel unsafe because of the history of the place.
