If you are travelling solo, you will have a "single suppliment" to pay at your accom probably.
So depending on the standard of accom you are looking at, I would think you will struggle to beat $860 odd, no matter where or how you book.
You will also be restricted as to who you can travel with, as Qantas only fly certain days, so you will almost certainly have to use Garuda to get the dates you need.
