not expensive hotels.Then ask the many expat residents for their views on where to visit & what to watch out for.Don't mentoin that it is your 1st visit,you may open the door to higher costs when dealing with some of the Indonesians.Take things slowly,don't commit to anything before asking for advice.Mistakes will be made but the fewer the better.Culture seems to vary from area to area.Enjoy.
