You can send around 20kG from "Post Offices" around Kuta / Legian for less than half what you have been quoted.
The service is door to door, and will arrive a few days after you (If you send say the day before leaving Bali)
Don't pack wood / DVD etc, the "post office" will pack your stuff, and sew into a canvas type cover.
Don't send anything fragile.
