Many Agents fail to advise their clients that Garuda Indonesia offers a "City Check-in" facility at their Bali offices.

This would have been particularly handy for you Neil, as you were staying at Bali Garden.

If you visit a Garuda Office (you could have gone to Kuta Paradiso Office) within 24 hours of your departure, they will pre-allocate your seating and issue you with Boarding Passes.

This would also be an opportunity to re-confirm the actual departure time of your flight.

It is a good feeling to know in advance exactly where in the aircraft you will be seated. Even if you have requested in advance through your Agent pre-allocated searing, there is no guarantee that you will actually get these seats on arrival at the airport.

I have always personally done this, even when flying Executive Class mainly for the peace-of-mind in having my actual Boarding Pass in my hand.
