Have stayed at both properties. PR recently. Had lunch at Mandira and walked through gardens etc. They are quite different hotels and therefore hard to compare. They are both nice but Mandira is more spacious and facilities heaps better. I would stay at the Mandira if $$ didnt matter. Aussies tend to stay at PR whereas alot more mix of races seemed to be at Mandira. I didnt really enjoy the PR for a few small reasons, but not worth mentioning. It was a very adequate hotel in a good location with beachfront restaurant (great for breakfast) But the lack of privacy was a small negative. I personally think you may be disappointed with PR after the Mandira.
