you get a much better rate if you take cash as the rate at the moment here is between 7900 - 8150 depending on where you go but through the atm it is only 7100 - 7300.
We are spewing that we didn't bring cash as we only have plastic and the bank fees are double dipped as in they charge you here for taking the money as well as your bank charging you. Most atm's only let you take out 1.2 rupiah at a time
