Same as (chroch) we stayed in the garden bungalows too (last May). We had a look at the hotel rooms (some were being repainted while we were there) they were nice too but we liked the extra room and amenities of the bungalows.
I have been to Bali 4 times now (1 alone - 3 with family). I've been an observer on this site for over a year now but only joined up recently so I'm still a newbie like you but it's really great, gotten plenty of tips and information. You will find that nearly everything you want to ask a question about has already been asked on here before so my tip is always search the archives first thats what I do its worked everytime for me(and it saves embarrasement when one of the "experts" blast you for asking a question that "someone else asked only last week") but the majority on here seem a great bunch. Another good bali info site if you havent been there is at www.filosbali.net. This guy is a legend and must have spent years and years collecting bits and pieces of information about Bali so my tip is to have a good read through there first.
