Just returned from 12 days in bali staying at the Dynasty.
May I start by saying YES it rained but it is that time of year - rain was not too bad except for one 3 day spell in which one day was monsoonal with the pool bar and outdoor cafe closing completely. Cant complain as boxing day was not the 44 that Perth experienced back home.
Bali Dynasty - as a whole was as good as we remember and expected - the usual staff were excellent and special commendations to Helan and Amy in kids club - our 3 boys demanded to go daily and had to be pulled out kicking and screaming. The breakfasts were excellent, the Golden Lotus and Poolside buffets were great, the in room dining menu and food was average and the Xmas dinner resulted in a few complaints. The lobby is being renovated which was a minor inconvenience. The only downer was the number of teenage (older) children that have little respect for others holidays and parents that dont seem to give a damn how their children behave or at what age they should be allowed to start drinking.
Restaurants - All we ate at were great including Poppies, Ma Jollies, green garden, Kori and our favourite "Rumours" in Seminyak. For those that have not been, make a booking and go best steaks, lambshanks and value in Bali plus a designer look and ambiance to boot.
For those that have not done treetops in Bedugal - do yourselves and kids a favour and go - our kids including 4yo loved the ropes course and spent 3 hours up in the trees - us landlovers should however stay closer to the ground.
Cant wait to go back already - cliched but true
