Here is a rundown of our first day as emailed to my mum, it has been eventful.

We arrived safely and ealier than expected on Jetstar from melb. The kids were good on the plane and we got through customs quickly and we got to the hotel by 10.30 Bali time. I stubbed my toe and lost my toe nail, as the outside lights were not on and I couldn't see where we were walking.

This morning we were up early and met our friends plus about 20 others at breakfast.

The kids had a swim early as well.

We went to the supermarket and stocked up on water etc. Came back to the hotel and Riley, my 11 year old daughter ate some wafer biscuits that we bought, we had checked the ingredients and there was no mention of nuts, which she is very allergic to. Well she started having a reaction (she is OK). I got vallergan and redipred into her as well as ice, she had welts coming up and was pretty upset. I got her back to the room in the air con and she has now fallen asleep, her skin has calmed down so she is just feeling the effects of the vallergan. I don't think we will be doing much else today.

I can get wireless working on my laptop so I can access the internet from my room which is how I am writing this, but the connection is pretty slow.

Anyway hopefully this will be the last drama we will have for the trip.

Pool renovations are still happening, they say the main pool will be ready in a week.
