It is hard to recommend. People are different with what they allow their kids to do. And I guess alot of people are a bit more liberal with sons more so than daughters. Having just returned with our 2 daughters aged 18 and 20, we found they didn't feel comforatable to go out on their own at night till about half way during the holiday. They enjoyed going to Billy's in Garlic Lane. Staff their are fun and they often had a band playing. Then they would go on to Bali Rock, it can be a bit quiet there sometimes but they got to know the staff and always enjoyed it. They also went to Paddy's. There is really no legal age over there, or if there is no one sticks to it. Would definately suggest mobile phones. And set ground rules. Hopefully they can meet some people, personally I am always happier when my kids go out in a group, whether it is Australia or overseas.
