My sole responsibility is to see to it that the sponsored child gets an education. That's a big enough long-term committment for any sponsor. If i decide to visit i may/or may not, take a small gift of a couple of books or some stationary to help the sponsee's school. That's the limit of what i can afford, and it is enough.
As a matter of fact, the members of my website, asiadana.com are in the process of drawing up a list of what would be sensible gifts to give to a child's school.
Please don't let what other sponsors are able to afford stop you from seeing to it that you are able to give a child an education and a way out of poverty. There's a child waiting for help who may never be given this opportunity without you. Onya frazzledfozzle for your kind heart :)
