On our return to sydney airport in june 2005,my teenage sons, against my advice, attempted to bring in 6 bb guns between them. When we fronted customs,we were asked as a family group if we had any bb guns etc., I said "not that i know of".We were then directed to the x-ray que, where they obviously found all of them. They were cautioned and issued leaflets outlinrng the penalties of being convicted of smuggling firearms.Despite this,on our return in may 2007,one of them successfully got two in.They have been the cause of some near-injuries and subsequent rows between us but his lesson was learnt when a pellet richoceted off his bedroom door and broke his laptop screen. He understands now he is lucky that it was not someones eye or similar and there are laws for reasons other than spoiling his fun.
