First trip i stayed at 'Hotel Tjampuhan & Spa' but unfortunately i will not stay there again. People lovely, but villa/room was smelly/musty and there was LOADS of steps - and large ones which were hard to step up to. Certainly gets the sweats on for the start of the day!
Parents stayed at 'Tegal Sary' (spel?) which you cannot book through travel agents, must be directly with the hotel, they would strongly recommend this place, very clean, comfortable - and no steps. I believe this was at the bottom of the hill.
