We have been to Amed several times. There are several ways to sort out your trip to and from Amed and how much you should pay.
If you have a hotel in mind in Amed see if they will pick you up and for how much. The hotels may charge a little bit more than the cheapest price you will get from the street but you get door to door with a comfortable reliable car and driver and it will probably make you feel better.
An easy way to check the current price would be to ask or look at the taxi board prices (on the right) when you come out of immigration at Denpasar Airport. That should give you an indication of a reasonably fair/maximum transport price from Denpasar/Kuta to Amed.
We normally get the local transport around our Legian hotel to take us to Amed. Unfortunately I cannot remember how much we paid in Oct this year - I think it was 300,000 rp each way.
