It's always going to be a bit difficult to assess the value you are getting without having all the detail. For example, seat grade, meal inclusions, transfers and so on. Flight Centre is typically pretty competitive on price but it does happen that they can get thumped on direct quotes. I recently had a quote from Sanur Hyatt that was almost $1200 better than Flight Centre - and all I did was check the on-line booking service. I'd recommend you flick off an email to the properties you are contemplating - make sure you cover your needs and expectations - and also give Garuda a call (if that's who you are comtemplating travel with). That should give you a pretty good idea of how your quote from Flight Centre stacks up. Don't forget to allow for and arrange your travel insurance if you ultimately go direct. Tripadvisor dot com is a good place to source people's opnions on any property you are considering staying at.
