Bamboo Corner. Jl Padma Utara. I have heard a lot about this place but had only visited the Bamboo Corner in Poppies 1 (which I love). This one is great also. Quite an extensive menu and cheap.

# Billy's Bar & Restaurant. Jl Sahadewa. (0361) 763373. Staff friendly, Quick service. (Dinner for 2= 70.000). Fishermans seafood basket- there was plenty in it as well as plenty of salad, plus 2 dipping sauce's and the seafood was cooked just right. I've never had a bad meal there.

Café Lotus- Stall behind S&S bar. Nasi Goreng 5,000.

Café The Sand (Kumula Pantai Hotel). Fairly cheap.

# Drops. Jl Padma (opposite Wayan and Friends). Part of Casa Padma Suites. Ph 62-361-753 073 http://www.casasuites.com Lovely setting and atmosphere. Very contemporary menu with absolutely delicious food and great/friendly staff. Five mains, three desserts, coffees and cocktails for four adults, one child, around 500,000 rp (approx $65 aud) (Upstairs is a lounge where they show movies. Nice if you want a relaxing night watching a movie and having a few drinks.)

# Dolphin Café. Garlic Lane Seminyak Breakfasts good, cheap. (Nice meal, friendly staff. Garlic bread, Beef Rendang with rice, Chicken Gordon Blue, 2 soft drinks, 76.000)

Flying Piano - Jl Werkudara, Legian Kaja.Just before Jl 66. www.theflyingpiano.com In a small side street that runs off the road that accesses Jayakarta Hotel - it runs off almost parallel to the back of the Jayakata and goes through to Legian Rd. Food sensational - Indonesian, Swiss, German and Thai menus and numerous other options also. Three piece band plays music, but if you are lucky, when they take a break, Pedro the owner plays the grand piano. He is unique, unusual, and truly gifted as a pianist - an amazing experience.

Service was excellent. We shared garlic bread and bruschetta. Fettuccine was al dente. Meals averaged 60.000 + 6% service charge. Everyone was happy with their meal. The owner came for a chat and gave us an Italian liqueur (Lemoncello). MMMMM

Kopi Pot. Jl Legian. Veal Cordon Bleu 41.000.

Went here for breakfast. 29.000 for juice, fruit, eggs (any style) plus choice of 4 things (mushrooms, bacon, hash browns, tomato, sausages -can't remember what else) plus brown bread or baguettes and coffee or tea. The brown bread was actually purple (I think they just dye it) LOL but it tasted good, especially with the home made pineapple ad ginger jam.
