Years ago we stayed at the Jayakarta apartments (husband, myself and 2 children) We thought they were fine, not modern or flashy, (may have been upgarded since then) roomier than your avarage hotel room. They are situatued out the front of the Jayakarta hotel and the breakfast and restaurant is behind the hotel near the pool. There are 2 large pools and a kiddies pool. Jayakarta is located in Legian and is close to other restaurants and shopping. I have not stayed at Villa Kresna Hotel in Seminyak, so can't comment.
If interested in a villa in Kuta which has 4 bedrooms and is in walking distance to shops and lots of great restaurants, and walking distance to the beach. Also is located in the vacinity of waterbom park and has a large shared swimming pool in the villa complex, plus 2 kiddies pools. Very spacious! check out: www.balikutagardenvilla.com
