In Starclass You can take 2 7kg carry ons provided they are within the standard carry on dimensions PLUS one small item (i.e. camera, laptop!) PLUS 30kg of checked baggage.
Flew Starclass last night (3 pax) and took five carry ons plus a laptop, 3 checked bags and a stroller (the porters at the airport thought they'd hit the jackpot - until they saw me manage them all!)
Starclass isn't a patch on regular international business - but it is a mile better than sitting in economy on jetstar - too squishy!
Food was okay (but was better BNE to SYD - on Qantas business with the Starclass fare!) as was the service. The seats on Starclass are much better than Jetstar economy, but they still lack a bit of room when the person in front reclines fully.
For the price, we really can't complain.
